OUR SERVICES

Our dermatologist is board certified and is affiliated with a major Manhattan hospital and teaching program. He consults for several major cosmetic companies and trains other physicians. He has written medical papers and frequently lectures both locally and nationally on such topics as cosmetic dermatology, wrinkles, facial wasting, sports dermatology and Botox™ injections.

A dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases and also performs a wide variety of cosmetic procedures. Our dermatology practice is experienced in the treatment of acne, the removal and diagnosis of moles, the treatment of skin cancer, the treatment of warts, and many other skin conditions. We also have experience treating skin problems common to professional athletes and dancers, and try to be sensitive to their performance needs when determining what treatment to use. We treat patients of color for most skin conditions. In addition we commonly treat actors, models and broadcasters and try to accommodate difficult work schedules.

The cosmetic services provided by our office include Botox® Cosmetic injections for wrinkles and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the underarms, palms or feet), Laser Hair Reduction and Microdermabrasion for uneven skin tone and texture. While we had used collagen for many years, we now mainly use the new filler products, Restylane®, Radiesse™ and Sculptra™ for wrinkles, lipoatrophy, facial wasting and and providing extra volume for the face, generally producing a more youthful appearance. We also perform Sclerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins. Additional services provided at our dermatology practice include glycolic peels for acne and light sun damage, as well as deeper TCA peels for deeper sun damage and brown spots. Our office also has lasers to treat warts, excessive hair, and facial blood vessels.
